prices EU to MEX

being married with a (lovely) mexican spouse, i routinely check prices PAR/MEX with eventually going through BRU or BCN/LON if significanly cheaper, as we d like to go there at least once a year

i am amazed by current prices for easter 2018, february 18
I know this travel period is child holidays, but basically it get never below the 900€ range , and since 2/3 years
when using google flights maps, MEX (or even CUN) are basically the most expensive destination from europe (if you except hot spot like MRU)
Competition is there : the US ones, AA, UA and DL, plus AF, IB, KL, BA, LH and now AZ
nevertheless prices never go down
i can understand tourism and invetsments are booming, but so why not increase flights???
When you see now HAV at 560 eur in winter, looks like to me like there is undercapacity serving this market

when i think i found CDG/MEX with LH at 350 eur in 2010....

Semana Santa, as its called in Latin America, practically everyone in Mexico has off, and there's a lot of European traffic as well. High demand, limited supply, let's gouge the passengers, er, Yield Management will keep pricing high - partially based in the period's history.

Strange, I see cheap tickets from N. America and Europe all the time.

Like Diver said, maybe because you\'re looking only during semana santa? And I think it's way too early to grab a deal for next year.
