Mexico beach resort
 

Hey all!

So I'm looking at a winter location (that's not cold) and Mexico popped into my head. I have this preconceived -- which may be totally untrue -- notion that beach resorts in Mexico can be incredibly cheaper than here in the U.S.

What're some of you guy's experiences? Would you recommend Mexico or another tropical country? Which would be the biggest "wow" beach resorts you've experienced?

This post looks more general than a luxury hotel question, so I am moving it to the dedicated Mexico geographic forum where I believe the poster will get a more thorough answer.
