im getting the same error message. called them and was on hold for a good hour and the rep decided to ask me for my log in and password and had to send me a verification code so she can log into my account and try exactly what ive been trying for the past 2 days only to tell me shes getting the same error message. this is ridiculous, why cant marriott leave spg be until they're actually done with everything

I just tried transferring points to Alaskan. I got all the way through the process including the part where it confirms your identity by sending a security code via email. Having entered the security code and clicking on Submit I was returned to the start screen for making a points transfer with no message to say whether the transaction was successful or not. The points have not (as yet) been deducted from my account so I am not too hopeful.

Need your expert guidance urgently please. I am booking an economy MAA-SIN on SQ and I badly need at least 30,000 Krisflyer miles or so to upgrade. When I try to transfer my new Marriott Reward points I run into these issues:
1) "You can convert a maximum of 79999 points per partner each day" -- this probably is the old SPG program, but with the new program we should be able to convert up to 240,000 points in a day
2) I am not getting the advertised bonus 15,000 marriott points when I transfer 60,000 MR points...how do I get this?
3) Marriott customer service is telling me that it will take at least 7 days to get to KrisFlyer account...really?

Marriott customer service even for Plats is really bad...wait times of 30 minutes or more, and they are clueless. The merger has gone horribly bad.

Help me please on:
1) What is the quickest way to get Krisflyer points from Marriott?
2) If I need 30,000 Krisflyer miles, that is equivalent of 90,000 marriott points. Because of the 15,000 points bonus, should I reduce my ask to 75,000 points to convert? The online system asks me how many points I want to convert, and it tells me the miles...but it does NOT add the bonus equivalent of 5,000 Krisflyer miles at all. How do I do this?

Customer Service is NOT helpful...they keep saying I have to do it only online. But the web portal is broken horribly. PLEASE HELP!!

I am concerned the upgrade inventory gets depleted fast...

While I haven't tried to do a transfer to miles under the new "combined" program, so not sure exactly what the right answer really is. But if it were me, I might go ahead and try to convert 75K points and see what comes through. Also, I'd call in to do the transfer and as a LTP, I'd ask to expedite the process with the complementary Platinum expedite. And note, the Plat line wait times isn't always bad (though on weekends it might be). I called in yesterday for an issue and got through in about a minute.

And my understanding is the bonus will automatically come through. It would be nice if Marriott's system actually showed that extra amount based on the points you want to transfer, but right now it doesn't look like they do that. My guess is since that was an SPG benefit (i.e. every 20K points transfer gets 5K extra), the Marriott system isn't showing it through their portal yet.

1) Any idea on how long the normal transfer is between Marriott and Singapore Air?
2) I finally got hold of a supervisor (after almost 2 hours hold/transfers) and he says he has no access to the system to either do it over the phone, or any way to expedite even for a fee. That option is no longer there after August 18th...true?

He just said it will take about 2 weeks to get to this issue of transfer points for a fix...as they are working on other serious issues.

1) I am actually confused. Marriott website states the following. It does NOT state that to get the bonus I have to do TWO separate 60,000 point transfer. It tells me for each 60,000 points transfer I get the 15,000 points. Can you please clarify?

2) I have Chase Sapphire Blue rewards...even that takes several weeks to Singapore airlines? So, no major difference between Marriott or Chase...right?

ThePointsGuy is too busy pimping the new SPG Luxury card to care about covering SPG legacy transfer woes. If people knew they couldn't transfer, why would they need the 100k point offer.

A day prior to the 18th Aug deadline, I purchased 6 travel packages and coverted them to SQ miles. It took only about 5 days to have the miles credited to my Krisflyer account.

Made an international call to Marriott CS KL Malaysia. Was put on hold for about 5 minutes and the whole process took about 15 minutes. Couldn't access my account right away due to the IT mess at the time, but I did get an email confirmation right away confirming the purchase of travel package.

My 2 pre-8/18 transfers initiated on 8/15 still have not shown up on the other end. Comparing with the Wiki, I fear something might be wrong.
