cmhsieh54 in post #1965 suggests that if you have an upcoming stay and if the online system (i.e. website/app) loses your confirmation number, and your online/telephone correspondence with corporate hotlines get you nowhere, call the hotel directly and give them your name and check-in date. Chances are quite high they'll find the confirmation number on their end and they will add it back to your online profile. It's a 2-minute fix; and a better day when we all don't have to be troubled by 'bugs'.

(Below is Marriott's own guidance about this 'bugs' thread)

If you're here, you are obviously experiencing some issues with the web site. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We have an interest in giving you the best web experience possible, so here are some tips on how to get any problems resolved:

First of all, the web assistance team has this suggestion for you:

"We first suggest the normal steps of clearing their cache (temporary files) and cookies, logging out of their Marriott Bonvoy account online, then close all browser windows before trying again. Please note that clearing cookies may also remove any stored passwords in the browser.

It is important for them to log out to ensure no bad/old data is saved and so that the online account has a chance to refresh.

You may already be aware of this, but note that cache and cookies are 2 different things. The cache memory is what remembers old content for faster page loading and may cause errors after updates. Cookies are mostly only meant for tracking during the current session. Both can still remember old errors that may have existed in the browser."

You should also be aware that being on a VPN sometimes interferes with your browsing experience. Try browsing without being on a VPN and see if this fixes the issue.

If none of this resolves your issue(s), you can you can send an email to [email protected] along with any screenshots leading up to and including the error message.

It also helps if you include the following information in your email:

-What browser(s) have you tried? Is the issue happening over multiple browsers or just one?
-Are you using a desktop/laptop or a mobile device?
-If you are using mobile device does this issue persist when on a desktop/laptop?

Once we have this information, we can forward it on to the web assistance team for further review, so please be as complete as possible.

If you are having an issue with any of the Marriott Bonvoy apps, you can send the following information directly to the Marriott Bonvoy App team at [email protected]:

-What device and operating system are you using?
-What version of our app do you have installed?
-What is the problem you have encountered?

Of course, status.marriott.com is still showing:

"Systems Are Online

Reservations, members accounts, and other major systems functionality are all up and running at this time."

So... I guess this is the new normal.
Been getting this same message since last night.

Room options

My wife, who is LTPP, checked into a Marriott hotel on Monday the old fashion way, she talked to a real person. Was told where and what type of room she was getting. None of what she was told matched the room options in her account so she asked if anything else on a higher floor was available. She was told yes. So she asked why the room wasn't assigned as per her preferences. The answer was simple 'Your preferences aren't on the reservation.' So we checked her and my accounts and it turns out our preferences are all set to 'No Preference' which is totally wrong. We've tried since Monday to change them to no avail. I can set them to whatever I want and when I hit the Save button I can see all the changes disappear and then I get the following:

Is it an isolated incident or are others having the same issue?

Rather than deal with it, I just made the booking with IHG, who was happy to take the money.
It was that way before August 18, unfortunately. If you have that after midnight flight problem, you have to call the airport hotel directly. I've done that a few times.

Somehow I can't even see where to sign in at marriott.com now. The Sign-In button has disappeared.

Man, my redemption stay at an Autograph has disappeared from the app. The confirmation number is showing as invalid when you type it in on the website. Legacy Starwood brand redemption stays are still there so are all the cash stays.

They're spending all this money on advertising; what must be millions and millions to promote the merge. Yet it's impossible to make a booking.
A complete disaster.

I tried to check my acct and am laughing so hard at seeing this on the MR website. Well, that's one way to fix the login issues!

things seem to be getting worse. first, an award stay using a Chase free night cert no longer showed the cert as attached and said I had to order the points still (still showing this). now, my other award stay (using points, which I already paid with) is showing that I need to order the points still...

I'm also dealing with a missing Chase certificate - I've tried calling but hold times are more than I can bear.

Where, exactly, on the website/my account would it show you have an active/valid certificate?

And the bloggers are silent.

Marriott.com hasn't worked for three days now. Marriott.co.uk works.

under the activity page there should be a drop down showing unused certificates if you have any

Thank you - yes, I can see it there, but I can't attach it to a reservation - either existing or new. I usually call but the hold times have been ridiculous. At least it's not lost, so I'll wait a few days or weeks. Hopefully they will be answering the phones by then.

I tend toagree as I need them to work on my reservations this week and can not get a person. With all the website and merger issues even the plat line has a 30 minute wait. I thought by now the issues would have died down, as I avoided Marriott for the week before and after the merger.

That's a shame. I frequently book cheap roadside Holiday Inn Express stays when doing long drives. It's nice to be able to pull up to the property whenever I feel tired and book from my phone without having to worry how late it is.
