cmhsieh54 in post #1965 suggests that if you have an upcoming stay and if the online system (i.e. website/app) loses your confirmation number, and your online/telephone correspondence with corporate hotlines get you nowhere, call the hotel directly and give them your name and check-in date. Chances are quite high they'll find the confirmation number on their end and they will add it back to your online profile. It's a 2-minute fix; and a better day when we all don't have to be troubled by 'bugs'.
__________________________________________________
(Below is Marriott's own guidance about this 'bugs' thread)

If you're here, you are obviously experiencing some issues with the web site. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We have an interest in giving you the best web experience possible, so here are some tips on how to get any problems resolved:

First of all, the web assistance team has this suggestion for you:

"We first suggest the normal steps of clearing their cache (temporary files) and cookies, logging out of their Marriott Bonvoy account online, then close all browser windows before trying again. Please note that clearing cookies may also remove any stored passwords in the browser.

It is important for them to log out to ensure no bad/old data is saved and so that the online account has a chance to refresh.

You may already be aware of this, but note that cache and cookies are 2 different things. The cache memory is what remembers old content for faster page loading and may cause errors after updates. Cookies are mostly only meant for tracking during the current session. Both can still remember old errors that may have existed in the browser."

You should also be aware that being on a VPN sometimes interferes with your browsing experience. Try browsing without being on a VPN and see if this fixes the issue.

If none of this resolves your issue(s), you can you can send an email to [email protected] along with any screenshots leading up to and including the error message.

It also helps if you include the following information in your email:

-What browser(s) have you tried? Is the issue happening over multiple browsers or just one?
-Are you using a desktop/laptop or a mobile device?
-If you are using mobile device does this issue persist when on a desktop/laptop?

Once we have this information, we can forward it on to the web assistance team for further review, so please be as complete as possible.

If you are having an issue with any of the Marriott Bonvoy apps, you can send the following information directly to the Marriott Bonvoy App team at [email protected]:

-What device and operating system are you using?
-What version of our app do you have installed?
-What is the problem you have encountered?

Here's a fun one. Just booked a room for next week. Website worked flawlessly minus the lack of Sort by Price. I even posted on another thread that it's the first time in months I've gotten it to work on the first try. I then filed an LNF claim...and this came in my e-mail box:
We have received your message, and you will receive a reply from a team
member soon; however, the message was received at an email account that will
be discontinued soon. Please direct all future correspondence regarding
Marriott's Best Rate Guarantee to [email protected]. Thank
you!

Oh well. At least I could make the reservation without any errors for once. One thing at a time, right?

Noticed the same. Looks like Marriott is changing from LNF to BRG terminology. I was just about to post in LNF thread.

Marriott website issues with Firefox.... is this common?

Have tried using the Marriott site with firefox recently and been very disappointed in the integration. Let me know if others are having this problem:

1. To sign in firefox can't save my login details for it pops up a separate window for login and this seems to negate that ability. So signing into your account has to be typed with my email each time. This has been consistent since the merger.

2. can't type in destinations for find&reserve. on the welcome screen. This renders any searching not possible. It doesn't recognize typed text, you have to hit find&reserve then it displays hotels.

3. drop down dates box is greyed out and not available to click.

In short ... is going on with the Marriott website for firefox? Are these longstanding problems?

Hi schley,

May we ask you to try clearing caches, close the browser and open a new page to see if you stil come across these issues?
If the issues persist, please take some screenshots and attached them to an email to us so that we can have our web assist team to look into.

The only thing that doesn't seem to work with Firefox for me is the "Remember Me" checkbox but might be because something I have disabled. I don't get any popups during login, search and booking work fine.

Online account activation problem - 7 weeks and still not able to activate

Hi,

I have been in touch with Starwood customer support about 20 times since early December. I have to activate an online account and every time I do I get the following message "Please ensure the information you provided matches your Rewards account information. Otherwise please contact Rewards Guest Services."

Speaking with the social media team and on the phone as well, they are convinced my details match up with what I am entering, but they cannot work out what is going on. They have tried updating my address and all sorts, but still get the same issue no matter which browser and how many times i deleted cache.

Wondering if anyone has had the same problem and has resolved it?

Thanks in advance

It generally works for me, although I have had occasional issues when making reservations; I'll get to the last confirmation page, click the button, and then I'll get an error about the system being 'unavailable'. My last reservation worked fine in Firefox, though.

The 'Remember Me' option does not work for me either, but that is probably due to having all of Firefox's tracking protection features turned on.

Christina,

thanks for reaching out. First, and this is a persistent issue is that when you login the login box pops up and it doesn't save the login, but it does save the password. I have to type my email in every time. Is this fixable?

Also I will email you guys on the other issues when I get a chance later today.

thanks.

I cannot get Marriott.com to allow me to search a reservation if my life depended on it. For days now. Signed in or not.

Any ideas?

Anyone else having issues with the mobile app? It says it has a connection problem and won't work.

Also having issues recently with the website making reservations. If I select a code (corporate/discount) etc. it works. If it leave it blank, it throws a "server is being stubborn, please try again later"

I had the same issue with the app. Someone here on FT noted that the issue resolves if you log out and then log back in. I did that a few days ago and it has been working fine.

Guessing they are throwing all the resources at the new reservation system.
