Best Four Points in the world -- what are your favorites?

Looks like I started somewhat of a trend with the W thread, but I'm curious to hear what the best of each brand is, even as we get into the lower-end ones.

Well, this is starting to get tougher… but I do have one (unmatched) contender for this category:

Four Points Kuta, Bali -- this is by far my favorite Four Points in the world. It beats many Sheratons / Westins and even some Ws etc. One main reason why, and a few other nice big reasons:
- ROOFTOP SWIM-UP POOL BAR
- Large rooms for upgrades
- Pools everywhere
- Decent breakfast
- Right near the airport

Almost forgot about a close second, the Four Points Dubai - Sheikh Zayed Road which was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were bland, and the building looked old… but there was a club lounge, I got a massive suite, and the highlight of the stay was the rooftop bar and pool area, which I frequented on a nightly basis.

Other than that, I quite like the Four Points in Zürich Silhcity, though it's somewhat absurdly expensive, like everything else in Zürich.

Other FPs have been quite bad (e.g. NYC downtown)

Four Points in Zürich Silhcity was nice and plenty for our needs in Zurich and certainly above any typical four points.

The Four Points Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road is the best I have experienced for sure.^^^^

I've only ever stayed at a handful of Four Points, but the Four Points Barcelona has to be in with a shot. Proper bar, great value restaurant, convenient location.

Four Points Darling Harbour, Sydney

It has the look/feel of a Sheraton/Westin.

Except that hotel is now a Hyatt Regency...

+1 for Four Points Barcelona. Far beyond the standards for the brand.

FP Miraflores, Lima - great location and attractive hard product
FP Zurich Sihlcity - has to be the trendiest FP ever
FP Miami Airport - brand new, modern, friendly and has a swimming pool

Bucket list

Four Points Sandakan. Quite a niche location in East Malaysia but a nice modern hotel with beautiful views and great Platinum treatment (I mean, they can't get many) including breakfast, suite upgrade and a lounge with 90 minutes of free alcohol.

Four Points Shenzhen. A proper full service business hotel with lounge and everything.

Four Points Bali Seminyak. Well, I liked it and am returning in January. I prefer the location to Kuta and the suites are tasteful and breakfast is good with made to order dishes.

Worst Four Points ever (indeed worst SPG hotel ever) was the Four Points Kuching that got thrown out of SPG some years ago. Awful, neglected hotel with terrible service.

plus 1 for four points Kuta, the only downside is the location a bit hard to reach by car and its quite a walk to either the beach or to the legian street but for $60 per night it's a steal

What did you like about the Miraflores? I'll be heading to Lima next year.

I considered the one in Shenzhen but it doesn't appear to be that close to a metro. What did you think?

another vote for the four points by sheraton dubai sheikh zayed road....by far the best four points i have stayed at....

although i have never spent more than a few hours at night at the four points by sheraton new delhi airport highway, i would definitely recommend it....

four points by sheraton bangkok, sukhumvit 15 used to be pretty good when it first opened but i haven't been back there in about 5 years & i've heard the property has really gone downhill over the last few years....i will however be back there later this week so will see for myself how good or bad it is now....

Like I said, location is very good, walking distance to everything in Miraflores. Good hard product, modern rooms. Plats get a nice full breakfast buffet (in fact, I think every guest gets it).

Lima has good SPG options: the Westin is supposed to be among the best in the world, but in an inconvenient location for tourists, and I found the Sheraton to be a tired physical property, but great Plat treatment, bargain prices and convenient location to exploring downtown. There’ll be a new Aloft in Miraflores openin next July.
