how do tiers work?
OK, ok... I know I am being stupid, but I cannot work out how the tier levels work with Marriott rewards! How do you get promoted to Gold etc? I appear to be silver at the moment, but have no idea how many nights I need to stay to get gold... I can't see on the website!
Please assist a newbie... |

Please assist a newbie... Plat. 75 nights Remember you can get 15 via the Marriott Visa. |
The nights requirement for elite status are :
Silver- 10 nights Gold - 50 nights Platinum - 75 nights You should be able to see how many nights you have this year by logging into your Marriott Rewards account. Status is earned on an annual basis. For initial qualification, Marriott also has an unlisted rolling calendar where you can move up in status if you hit the required nights for the past 52 week period. Updates to status by the rolling calendar occur every Monday. |
First, check out Marriott Benefits. It has a nice chart showing all the benefits of each level, including right under the "overview" the number of nights needed Silver, Gold and Platinum. (Others have already chimed in with the info, but if you want to see it on Marriott's website, the above link should help.)
Second, in the upper left-hand corner, you should see a menu with a "My account" link. Click on that and you should be taken to a nice page that shows how many nights you have for this year and even how many you need to reach the next elite level. (Note that if you aren't logged into MR yet, you will be prompted to login before you see your info.) |
aha - I get it now... thanks!
Hmmm. Only had 10 nights this year... unlikely to get Gold this year. |
Got status questions refer to this page: http://www.marriott.com/rewards/hotel-rewards/faq.mi
Right after you log in (https://www.marriott.com/signIn.mi) , click "My Marriott Rewards Account" and it will show you how many nights you need to reach the next status level. |
