When are Pointsavers released?

The current listings go through Sept. '09 and I am interested in October '09
Any historical timeframe?

aaupgrade Aug 20, 2009 7:37 am

Now. Where are you looking?

Of the approximately 120 pointsavers listed over 70 are available through October 2009 or later: http://www.marriott.com/rewards/marr...PointSavers.mi

Sorry-The RC pointsavers are the ones I am intersted in.

aaupgrade Aug 20, 2009 1:55 pm

In that case I would guess around Sept 19. The July 1-September 30 ones came out June 19 according to this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...s-no-maui.html

This list is not complete. For example, you can book a Marriott hotel in China in Feb '10 using pointsavers. But they aren't on the list.

Good Afternoon,

The Ritz Carlton summer point savers are available to September 30, 2009. I have asked when a new list for the fall Ritz Carlton point savers will be available. I will let you know when I receive that list.

The Marriott Hotel point savers work a little differently. All hotels are given the opportunity to select the dates when they would like to offer point savers. It could be for a certain week or for longer or shorter periods of time. While the Ritz Carlton point saver reward codes change with whatever season they are offering, the Marriott Hotels point savers remain as the same reward code throughout the year. That is why you see on the website the many different dates that hotels are offering point savers and the difference with expiration dates.

I will let you know when I find anything out on the fall Ritz Carlton point savers.

Regards,

Kate

RC Fall 2009 PointSavers Rewards are now available
Valid October 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009.

But not for the dates I want. Not surprising really since it is Grand Cayman over Thanksgiving.

dav373 Sep 2, 2009 4:56 pm

I went to the site and Texas is listed under the country section. Texas pride baby!

Thanks for the heads up AAupgrade^

You're welcome.

FYI - Grand Cayman RC now has PS availability for Thanksgiving period, or at least they did a week ago.

Marriott Point Savers

As a Lifetime Platninum, I am confused how to use a Point Saver Award. Last week again, there were non available on line for hotels in Houstron (38). I called the Reward line and they said non were avaiable at this time. This is not the first time I have tried only to get the same answer. Had not used this award in over 25 years. They promote but they dont deliver. Anyone have any luck finding point savers?

wow...old dead thread but to answer your question...Point savers aren't a manditory program but hotels are encouraged to participate....the inventory is released whenever a hotel chooses to participate

What do they promote that they don't deliver?

If you want to find point savers for a specific location, you'd have to be incredibly lucky. The way to find point savers is to look up what's available and THEN decide where you'd like to travel to.

Currently you can book point savers in Florida, California, Aruba, Germany, Thailand, United Kingdom, etc etc etc.

I think if one travels to certain places at unpopular times, one can find them for specific locations. Like London during winter.

Pointsavers are around quite a bit in Europe esp during winter weekends, indeed sometimes it seems as if most of the Uk is on Pointsavers.

This weekend pointsavers are available in the UK at BexleyHeath, Waltham Abbey,Huntingdon, Leicester, Maidstone, Norwich, Peterborough and Portsmouth.

Maidstone, Norwich and Portsmouth are all pretty surprising as the first 2 are country clubs where one would expect pretty strong weekend demand from fairweather golfers like myself who are mostly in it for the sun and 19th hole, whilst Portsmouth is a historic city with lots of tourist attractions in the summer...

Almost all my redemptions have been in the UK and have been pointsavers. They seem quite easy to get hold of to me...

RC pointsavers end on Aug 31.

When will the fall RC pointsavers be available?

MC I sent you a PM inquiring about this.

aaupgrade Sep 13, 2010 6:55 pm

OK I'll ask again

It is well past August 31, yet the web page found at link below only lists RC pointsavers for dates prior to August 31, 2010. Unless someone has invented time travel, staying for those dates is not possible.

So when do the fall RC Pointsavers come out?

Marriott Concierge Sep 14, 2010 9:05 am

Hello all,

As you may have heard Ritz-Carlton Hotels will be participating in the Marriott Rewards Program. Along with this a Ritz-Carlton Rewards Program has been announced, which will bring on a new reward schedule with it. The new Ritz-Carlton point saver rewards will no longer be broken up by season. They will be available all year and will work very similar to the way the current Marriott hotel point-savers work.

They will be available beginning tomorrow.

Kind regards,

Marie

Hi Marie,

I can't seem to find them on the Marriott website.

Information on the Ritz-Carlton Point-saver rewards can be found on MarriottRewards.com, select use points, and Point-saver rewards. Here is the exact link: http://www.marriott.com/rewards/ritz...PointSavers.mi

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Marie

Thanks, Marie. You still have to call about the particular hotel or resort, right? For instance, there is not a way to see the points required for a hotel, nor is there a way to do the booking online yet. That will be a nice feature online; it would save the guest time booking and save the hotel from using phone time.

Marriott Concierge Oct 27, 2010 3:50 pm

Yes, you still have to call to book redemption reservations for Ritz-Carlton Hotels and to order your rewards. We are working on getting an online redemption feature into place; however, I do not know when to expect it up and running.

Kind regards,

Marie
