Hildon water
 

Forgive me for this post. I am not a bottled water conossieur, however, Mr HP is a big water drinker. He is quite happy with tap water, but, when he is on the go all day he drinks gallons of water and often we want a few bottles of sealed water that he can trust. He says that Hildon really is awful and he is backed up by Michael Winner (we read his Times column on a Sunday), who also cannot abide Hildon. Marriott continue to provide this is CLs and rooms. We just accepted this as hard luck, until last weekend we stayed at the Manchester Airport Marriott (our bolt hole for a quick weekend) and they had a free bottle of Hildon (nice and warm) and an equivalent size of Evian at £3.50 (also warm but with a collar asking for the £3.50) if we so much as unscrewed the cap. Why not just provide Evian???

I assume that Marriott have a deal with Hildon. The only place we escaped the stuff was at the Edinburgh Marriott, where they provided Highland Spring.

Personally I couldn't care less, but I do always have Mr HP's welfare at heart and he KNOWS about water!

Anyone else agree/ have any thoughts???

I agree that Marriott UK seem to have it as their standard water. I know they do do some central procurement so it would make sense. I guess thet the Highland Spring was because it is in Scotland - they couldn't have anything from England in there ;)
