How long does it take for Marriott points to post?

My friend and I stayed at Renaissance Seattle last week (we checked out on May 1). Although our receipts did show how many points we will earn, as of today no points have been posted to my account yet. Just curious about how long it normally take for these points to show up. Thanks.

Same here. I am waiting for 4 nights to post. This has affected my mega bonus points earnings. I know it will all work out but this is frustrating. To answer your question Marriott asks that you wait 10 business days for a stay to post before complaining. However every stay that took longer that week had to investigated with calls and faxes.

Usually points post in 3-5 business days.

If I check out of a hotel on Thursday, the points are usually posted by Sunday or Monday.

I have had it take WEEKS for points from Renaissance properties to post, but a day or two for points from a run-down TownePlace Suits to post

So the answer is.... Who knows????

My experience as well. Sometimes international properties take a few extra days.

I was thinking that they had 10 business days to post. Although most properties I stay at usually post within 3-5 business days, one particular Renaissance always takes ~10 days.

I just had points from my last Ren stay hit my account on Thursday. When did I check out? Exactly ten business days prior...

I have had Courtyards and Residence Inn post after 48 hours, seems like the average seems to be 4-5 days, Fairfield seems to take a little longer 5-6 and yes, Renaissance takes the longest.

MR said it will take 10 business days tp post. It usually posts much earlier than that, specially for domestic US properties.
That said, I have an international stay in Europe that had not been posted and had to call CSR and faxed in the invoice. Hassles :td:

I had a stay at the Marriott Gold Coast Aust in March and I am still waiting for the stays to post. Strange that I got points for the extra spending for food and bev. but not the nights. The amount of phone calls and emails I have made so far is ridiculous and I still havent had it sorted. Surely there must be a better way to report a discrepancy than the way the Marriott do it. An online points discrepancy form similar to what other chains use seems pretty good when I have had problems with this sort of thing in the past. Faxing hotel bills overseas etc seems to be a painful way of sorting out it out. I hwas told I musn't have booked the stay using my membership number, which I obviously did otherwise I wouldnt have got the points for the extra spending. I was almost made to feel guilty for a mistake that they made, not me. I feel like I have had to prove I actually stayed there. The whole thing has been so slow and frustrating.

Hi,

As most have said, it varies. I was, however, very pleasantly surprised this morning, when I saw that my stay at the Zurich Renaissance (checkout yesterday) had already posted (including double night bonus!)

Cheers,

GenevaFlyer

Thats how it SHOULD be. You shouldnt have to prove what they already know
