Marriott matched PC Platinum Status
 

Thanks to all the innovative FT tips I've applied for my first status match... from PC Platinum to Marriott Gold Elite status. Nice courtesy of MR which will make me more comfortable staying there more often

fyi.....you will need to stay the qualifying number of nights during 2009 to retain status for the following year. the Silver Elite level requires 10 personal nights, the Gold Elite level requires 50 personal nights, and the Platinum Elite level requires 75 personal nights.....(challenge) stay 18 nights within the next three months and your account will be upgraded to the Platinum Elite status.

Fair deal

When I started travelling again I got Marriott to give me Gold Status with an easy challenge, 10 stays or something and then I asked them for Platinum, which they gave me. I would have made it in time, but it was nice. Seems like all the others chains do match though. So that's nice.
