free night cert Cat 1-4 question
 

Hi, I am using a free night cert (from a VISA approval) next week. I have the reservation. The email confirmation says to present the certificate upon checkin, and also says to request the certificate at least 48 hours before check in.

I regret such a beginner question, but what the heck are they talking about? Is this not electronically accounted for from my MR account?

If your cert is an e-cert, you should be able to see it listed in your online account. Assuming that is true, I do believe, you can navagate to your reservation and since there is no e-cert currently attached, it will let you attach an e-cert that you currently have.

If you are having trouble doing that, or not sure of what you are doing, just give MR a call and they can easily do that for you as well.

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago using my certificate. I called MR and asked about it and they said not to worry everything was taken care of already.

I got to the hotel with no problems. But just to be safe I inquired when I checked in what type of cert they had me using on file. They had the right one.
