Prague and Vienna
I stayed at the Prague Marriott and had a great experience too. I was upgraded to a suite. The CL was great and well stocked. In addition the lounge contains a few PC's with connectivity. The concierge was very good as was housekeeping. One thing, if you are arriving by train, call the hotel ahead of time and arrange to have their limousine service pick you up. I made the mistake of using a metered taxi and was, well, taken for a ride. On the return to the station I used the limo and the price was half (about $25 if I recall).
After Prague I checked into the Vienna Marriott. Although the overall property was nice, it wasn't "really" nice. It's an older hotel in the Marriott system and is in need of updating. The lounge was satisfactory and breakfast can be taken in the lounge or the hotel restaurant. The location of this hotel is great, right on the Ring and a block away from the central shopping promenade. |

Prague Marriott and Vienna
We have stayed at the Prague Marriott on points 2 years ago. It was centrally located and the rooms were very nice. We were both Silver so did not get an upgrade but I didn't expect one.
We have also stayed at the Vienna Marriott--not the Ren and enjoyed the stay there-also centrally located. Both were very nice std rooms-could have been in the States and not recognized it until we went out! |
Prague marriott is centrally located and a nice hotel. When in Prague though my favorite hotel is the Hilton. If you use the metro/trams then its location doesn't matter. If you want to walk everywhere then its about a 20 minute walk to old town. But the hotel is simply excellent IMO.
I've stayed at the other Renaissance in Vienna and its a solid hotel a little bit out of the tourist type way. I've never stayed at the one you asked about. |
