Questions on FLEX AWARD
My wife last year got an offer from citibank for two free hotel nights. She booked it through Spirit and then later she canceled it due to hurricane. That reservation is a Marriott FLEX AWARD and the AWARD can be reused for another reservation. Since the AWARD will expire soon, I would like to use it for my reservation. I made a successful reservation, but the confirmation says "Please be prepared to turn in your incentive stay certificate." But I don't have a paper certificate and we got the certificate number from Spirit reservation confirmation email, and that reservation is under my wife's name.
Is a FLEX AWARD certificate number associate with any person's name? It seems that anyone can use the number to make a reservation, will the name be matched at check-in? Is it normal to have words "Please be prepared to turn in your incentive stay certificate." in a e-reward confirmation? If the hotel staff ask me to show certificate at check in, what can I do? Can I add my wife's name to my reservation and will that ensure the certificate be valid for this reservation? |
