New Platinum 50% changes
 

If half of my stay was before 1/15/09 and the remainder of my stay was after 1/15/09, what would be the percentage of Platinum bonus points applied to my stay, 30% or 50%?

Anyone have any experience with this as of yet?

From my (single) experience you get the points at 50% (logically that makes it easier to implement as well);

Platinum Arrival Gift Bonus 500 pts
50% Elite Bonus 3,681 pts

From my stay last week.

From my last week's stay 1/10-1/21

Base Earnings 14,429 pts
Platinum Arrival Gift Bonus 500 pts
50% Elite Bonus 7,215 pts

I had a two day stay checking out on 15 January and I got 50% bonus for the whole stay

It appears, that since part of my stay contained an award stay,( there were 12 nights, 5 of which were paid nights) I am only receiving 30%. It seems rather confusing. I had email communication going with Marriott Rewards, but when presented with the 50% vs 30%, communication ceased.
