Equivalent Status?

Does anyone know if Marriott will match status based on your status in other programs in order to gain your business?

I'm platinum in Priority Club and Diamond in Best Western. In previous years I was platinum in Marriott, but because my work has taken me to a lot of small towns over the last 2 years, I'm barely Gold at Marriott... despite staying in hotels over 300 nights a year.

I honestly prefer MArriott and would stay there whenever I'm in a city large enough to have one, but right now I'm split because I'm platinum/diamond at the other chains and basically guarranteed upgrades, etc.

So, is it even worth calling Marriott? Is there a way to get them to match my status with the other chains?

Thanks in advance for the help! :D

Marriott do status match, here is a recent thread on it (there are others if you search);

Chances are they will match your status to plat in return for a number of nights. The best challenge is one where they 'promote' you to Platinum at the start of the challenge, and then you get to stay Plat if you stay for X nights in 3 months. With your travel patterns I would push them for that.

They will potentially want to see a screenshot of your account status at the other chains.
