Invitation to "Please use Virtual Concierge" - but access is blocked by a firewall?
Received the usual reservation reminder this week for an upcoming stay...included the virtual concierge invitation. When I clicked on the link, received the following message:
Application Firewall Alert Your request was blocked by our firewall. If you feel that you have received this page in error, please contact the administrator of this web site. You will be redirected in 5 seconds. interesting way to discourage concierge requests! :D |
I always have issues with virtual concierge when using my wi-fi connection. The MTU issues with site as opposed to marriott.com are preventing me. I have to switch to wired or broadband card to do the job :(
Wish they would fix the MTU issues. |
Sorry, what is "MTU"?
|
I understand MTU to be the speed of the water flowing through the pipe. No matter the size of the pipe (the potential speed), it can flow at full blast or a trickle. If its a trickle, its an MTU issue. I see this at hotels all the time, especially when wireless. Often certain services like xBox Live demand a minimum MTU before allowing you to connect. My kid found this out the hard way at a Hyatt Place recently.
