It's possible that the LNF agent picked up a lower rate from amoma.com that I thought was non-refundable --- or they backed out the "with board" amount that amoma.com was charging extra for.
It's my first LNF claim. I'm not going to argue over the rate (which is maybe $20 less than the "normal" rate for this Fairfield Inn (something's going on in Orlando that's raising the rates of all the Marriott-family hotels in the city for my dates)).

The week before Xmas is a good time to be in NYC.
Fairfield Inn Queensboro Bridge:
Lowest refundable rate booked: $156.00
New refundable rate with LNF: $77.00
It took a phone call and several follow-up emails to nail that one down.
New York Marriott Downtown:
Lowest refundable rate booked: $195.00
New refundable rate with LNF: $96.11 (They messed up the math in my favor by a few $ on this one.)
This one also took a follow-up phone call and a follow-up email to confirm.
Both LNFs remain available as of this post.
