Will Marriott Match Status to Hilton?
 

I looked through the threads and didn't see anything on this. A friend is going to be required to stay at Marriotts quite a bit in the future and is presently at a high level on Hilton. He called Marriott and they didn't offer any fast track or match. Should he call again or don't they have any status match?

In general, Marriott is not known for offering status matches. While I'm sure there are some who have been lucky enough to get one, don't count on it. They are more likely to offer a "fast track" as you mentioned though. You might try calling back another time or two and see if you can get them to offer you one.

Also, you might search this forum for "fast track". You should be able to find some threads on those specifically.

No they wont match..I have called before and asked them to match my Diamond staus with Hilton and they said No..I can understand why tho..they require double the visits to attain the same type of level..Hilton has a lower threshhold for elite status because thier service is not as nice (and we all know it..OMG..there I said it).
