Ritz Stays on Marriott points
 

I am considering moving much of my credit card spending to a Marriott card from my SPG credit card (I earn all points via credit cards) to use for Ritz stays. At 250,000 for 7 nights at a tier 2 Ritz seems a very good value of points.

My question is how hard is it to get a Marriott point stay at the resort (beach) Ritz's.

Not very hard with adequate notice...and with pointsavers a tier 2 would be 190k points...last year I secured the week of Christmas and New Year at pointsavers at 190k points at the Ritz at Cayman. I use my Marriott points exclusively for the Caribbean Ritz Carltons.
