Reward Points on Redemption Stays?

I recently stayed at the Marriott London Grosvenor Square using Marriott points. The hotel does does not have its own restaurant but is integrated with Gordon Ramsey's Maze. Indeed the marriott website says this is the hotel restaurant.

Anyway, we ate in the restaurant one night and charged it to our room. When we checked out, these were the only charges were on our bill and we settled up as normal. The cost was around $900.

On checking my Marriott account. The nights are visible in my account history but it is showing zero points.

Does anyone know if I should get reward points for this restaurant spend?

Thank you, Phil.

Seems like you were able to charge the restaurant charge to your room. So why not try faxing in your hotel receipt? In my experience you typically get points for restaurant charges on the hotel receipt.

for dinner?

Holy Cow! 900.00 for dinner? or multiple dinners? London has gotten really expensive!

Thanks Zakami, I will try to fax them the receipt.

Yes y2k1jetta, London is very expensive. Although the meal was for 4 people with wine. Although presentation of food and service was exceptional we ate at better places for a fraction of the cost.

Yes you do gets points on any bar / restaurant / spend on reward stays - I did when at county hall.

I think Maze is a Michellin restaurant so that up's the price somewhat. They tend to have rather nice.. but pricey wines too.

wow

I don't think I could spend 900.00 for dinner for 4 if I could. It's against my frugal principal. I understand expensive dinners but wow.
