Marriott.com search along a route question
when I go to Marriott.com
search by location search along a route I input the data and it said "Sorry, we don't have any hotels in this location." which I know is a false statement since there are properties between LAS and TUS which I am driving. How do I get this search function to work properly? |
Are you using airport codes on the route search?
I thought you have to use the city names. I tried las vegas to Tucson as your route and can see a bunch of hotels. |
Hello,
Yes that's right you need to list the full city name in order for the 'along a route' search to work correctly. In fact if you even misspell one of the city's names it will result in an error message. Kind regards, Marie |
thanks all, i was using airport codes in the places box but thought I had covered myself by inputting city names in the city box.. guess not.. I'll go back to the drawing board :D

Kind regards, Marie welcome to FT, Marie - I hope you brought your body armour with you :) Yes, you are correct...if you don't spell the name correctly, it comes up with an error message. OP - what I have done in a case like this, where I don't know where i am going, is to run a Yahoo or Google map from Point A to Point B and see if there are any towns along the way...and then try to find a property that way. I hope that helps |

I pulled out the old atlas and tried a few towns (small ones) hoping for an FI and didn't come up with one but thought I'd give this a try too knowing full well that it should at least bring up the ones in the PHX area
