website issue > security info pop up
when I input my information such as city dates etc on the marriott website.. and input AAA, gov't etc I get a pop up before the results show up that say:
a lockkey icon then something that says "this site contains both secure and nonsecure items > then says do you want to display these items Y/N" this happens every time I try something new, ie.. try AAA, gov't, none.. is there something I can do to avoid this, its quite annoying and time consuming when doing a lot of searches? this is the only chain I get this pop up on thanks |
If you are signed into Marriott's website, I believe that Marriott uses Secure HTTP or "https" for all of their queries. This would be to "protect" your queries. The issue is that Marriott is redirecting your query over a different port number and your web browser is letting you know this.
If you don't want to see those pesky pop-ups, you could do your searches without being logged in. I suspect there is a web-browser security setting that will turn off the notifications, but I'm not sure that is a good setting to change. |
