Sometimes the system works
 

I've been planning Ms JRS & my November Europe trip for the last month or so. Trying to accomodate DL award availability with MR availability took a little work but in the end I was able to snag Standard awards for 3 nights @ the Munich-Ren, 4 nights @ the Vienna Ren, 5 nights @ the Zurich Ren and 7 nights @ the Paris Champs (my favorite Marriott property). All this was done via the website and each reservation, except Paris, changed at least 3 times.

I know other people have legitimate issues with Marriott and the website but I just wanted to acknowledge that for me, everything worked out perfectly.

Same for me for The Renaissance Kowloon in HKG in Feb. Used points for 2 nights and paid for 3. Also got 4 nights on points for Marriott NY Times Square. So far this yr batting 2 for 2.

For me: usually lots of problems, occasionally no problems. This year's vacation appears fine, albeit nothing at the Grand Flora. RT business class to Rome via Air France (Northwest miles). 4 nights in Rome at Hilton Cavalieri (Hilton points via Diners Club) (Grand Flora not offering any rewards). 4 nights in Capri and 3 nights in Naples (Marriott Europe hopper award), and 3 nights in Amsterdam (I'm actually paying for this one).
