Welcome to FT!

To help get some meaningful answers, I suggest you put some additional parameters on your question. Favorite beach hotel, city hotel, resort, spa, weekend getaway, relaxing vacation, etc.

PS I like the Renaissance in Aruba for vacations. The private island is quite special.

From a Caribbean perspective...St. Kitts gets great reviews.

Welcome to FT devinedp811. Don't mean to pile on with suggestions, but if you would try to be more descriptive in your thread title, it would encourage posters who might have helpful ideas for you to click on your thread. For example: "Any suggestions for 3-day getaway to Caribbean or US property?"

When I saw your thread title, I assumed you were posting about your favorite hotel.

One of the best Marriotts I have ever been to is "Wentworth by the Sea" in New Hampshire. It is right next to Maine, and you can spend time driving up the coast of Maine visitng the small tourist towns.

It is an absolutely beautiful hotel that sits on the water. The restaurant is great, and you are very close to numerous seafood restaurants.

Very, very different from your average Marriott. This is a great resort that has a ton of history and charm. It was converted into a Marriott.

It would be great for a 3 day visit if you live anywhere near the area. I would fly into Manchester if I were going to this area.

Good luck.

For a three day summer getaway in the continental US, I would suggest the Renaissance Inn at Bay Harbor: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...e-golf-resort/

There's lots of golf, but also lots of non-golf, in a very pretty area of the world.

I second St. Kitts

Good to hear as that's where I'm booked for 4nights in June. ^

I agree with both of these recommendations. I have flown from San Diego specifically to stay at these properties, and to enjoy a short vacation in the area.

There are threads on both properties that will give you a lot more information.

My personal favorite Marriott in the US is the Harbor Beach Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale. It has a very nice pool, its own beach, a nice spa and is in a good location.

I Second the Inn at Bay Harbor! Awesome (Search for lots of details.)

Also will add the Rennaisance Sea World Resort.

All the hotels mentioned are great, but since you said summer, I would definitely skip all those FL and carribean suggestions.
