Marriott's With NFL Network

Anyone know if any of the Marriott's or affiliated hotels carry the NFL Network (sometimes carried on the "LodgeNet" system)? I would think that some do. I will be on the road this week in Raleigh, N.C. and I would stay at a Motel6 if they had the NFL Network just so that I could see the game (Dallas vs. Green Bay). I couldn't find any info on Marriott's web site. Thanks!

Well, another option is a hotel with sports bar. Any sports bar would certainly carry the NFL Network.

I face the same problem although I am sure I will be cheering for the other team.
I called the Marriott I am staying at and was told that they do not offer the game.
I will find a sports bar no doubt.

Wow...don't make me launch a sidebar rant about the NFL Network. Is the game production any better this year than it was last? They took a perfectly good Denver-KC game and rendered it dang near unwatchable last year.

In any case, you'll need a sportsbar. Fortunately, in Raleigh, you should be able to find a pretty good one somewhere.

Sometimes its just nice to watch the game in the lobby bar. You don't need to worry about drunk driving and it is easier to hide in your expenses.

For anyone going to Miami...

The Biscayne Bay Marriott has the NFL Network.

Sometimes its just nice to watch the game in the comfort of your own room. This keeps me from:

a) Drinking too much
b) Hitting on the bartender
b) Ruining my clothes with the stinch of smoke and having to double-wrap them in the laundry bag so that they don't stink up everything else that I have.
c) Having to drive in an unfamiliar area late at night with alcohol in my system
d) Drinking too much

Sling Box ?

I wonder if it might be time to invest in a $200 sling box device that transmits your home entertainment system to your PC over the internet?

As discussed in the overpriced movie thread, using the TV out on your laptop to the room TV should work. Certainly a hassle but just might be worth it for heavy travelers.

Anybody ever see or use a sling box?

Cool, for a second when I saw the thread, I thought all Marriott properties were now getting the National Football League network! One can be hopeful.

I'm at the Boca Raton Marriott now & they have the NFL network!! And 42 total channels...way cool. Too bad I'm headed out with the Palm Beach Cty Bomb Squad Thurs nite. Good thing I can watch it Fri nite on my Tivo;)

also you could use sopcast to watch the games for free online. when the game is about to come on check the following link for a link to the video stream.

Also, there is http://www.streamtvnow.tv

this site you have to pay like $6 for 3 months access, but they always have a stream to any NFL game and the quality is a bit better, while sopcast, occasionally doesnt work. :-) enjoy.

Slingboxes can be had much cheaper. Search on the Internets.

I'm watching an NHL game on mine right now and will be watching the Pack/Cowboys on it tomorrow.
