Is it me, or does Tricia Springer's voice...
 

...make you feel at "home on the road?"

She is the host of channel 60 at Marriott... the infamous preview channel that comes on whenever you turn on your TV at Marriott. She even has a little bit of catch jingle music that sticks in my head.

(And hey, this month we get to learn soo much about Telluride, CO!)

Somebody here on FT called Tricia his "away wife". He claimed he talked to her. "Will it make me laugh?".- FT'er. "It will make you laugh AND cry" - Tricia.

I got a kick out of that post. She is at once somewhat annoying but it also "feels like I am home".

Well put gardner. A few years back I started to really hate her voice, yet now that you mention it her fascinating stories about thrillers and lost love are kinda the one constant with travel.

I've listened to her for years. I laughed when I recently realized she was in Denver, not far from where I was staying.

Ugh, I can't stand Tricia Springer! As soon as I turn on the TV I immediately change it to something, anything but her. How can I be the only one annoyed by her??

She also speaks French, as I have seen her rattling off the latest movies on the preview channel in the Quebec hotels.

You're most definitely not the only one...

So here I am at the Marriott Copley in BOS and everytime I turn off the TV with the remote, the TV immediately turns itself back on and tunes to the channel 62 with Tricia Springer. It feels like the TV is possessed or haunted.

Pretty annoying to have to get up out of bed to turn it off with the black button, but that is the only way I have found that guarantees the set won't power up again by itself!

I must have missed Tricia! When I turn on the telly it's just usually music+a visual welcome to xx property.
