Sales tax or occupancy tax?

Some states tax services differently than other states do. I'm not surprised at all that some states (or localities) would tax internet services differently than others. I would be surprised if two hotels in the same jurisdiction taxed internet service differently.

And don't get me started on occupancy taxes!

It is sales tax.....im staying in CT and the sales tax on 9.95 is $1.13! (~14%) Ridiculous!
