Well this should be entertaining!
I know I am going to have to work this out with the front desk at the JW Marriott in New Orleans when I check out-and am anticipating a bit of hassle(especially since checout will be on a holiday monday when they often have the less than well trained chimps manning the front desk)
I will be asking that two rooms be billed to the same folio(can I do that?)will be paying most of the bill with gift cards, will be looking to use a B1G1 EEO cert-printed from the website. Any suggestions? |

Thank you Socrates et al.
I will let y'all know how this turns out. |
Is anyone besides me willing to place bets on the odds bigguy will have a "bad" stay?
I dunno, but for someone who constantly rails against the Marriott brand he sure gives them a lot of business (granted, piling on all the discounts, benefits, certificates, and complimentary perks he can). |
Now let us not get snarky here DJ_Iceman :td:
I am always hoping for a good stay, and have reported on good to great stays in the past. If evrything goes as it should then I should have no reason to complain. If not???well let's not curse fate :D This stay is working out to less than $70 a night all in, with the discounts. |
FWIW,
We stayed at the JW New Orleans this past Memorial Day weekend, checking out on the holiday Monday using a B1G1 EEO cert-printed from the website. On top of that the room rate included breakfast. I followed all the rules, presented (a copy) of the EEO upon check in. At breakfast I informed the waiter that breakfast was included in the rate. Of course upon checkout I was charged fully for everything. I went down to the front desk to straighten it out and got a clueless clerk. To her credit she immediately called in the senior front desk person and it all was resolved in less then two minutes. I thought the property handled it well. YMMV |

YMMV The continuing problem continues to be being charged for that second night when an EEO has been submitted (and all preliminary "i's" have been dotted and "t's " have been crossed. Having a duplicate printout available goes a long way itowards speedy (and favorable) resolution. |

I've gotten into the habit of asking how the "breakfast-included rate" is handled in the restaurant, This seems to remind them to tickle their keyboards and the result is that any restuarnt bill I sign (and upon which I note "S4B' (or whatever the applicable rate nomenclature is) and I have never gotten a complimentary breakfast on my bill. (Also confirm when traveling with another party that "Both of us are covered, I understand?"
