For a one night stand to have dinner at Mitchell's, which Marriot should I choose - the Renaissance or the Courtyard?

Price or location not considered, even though I know the Ren is closer to Mitchell's.

I would pick the REN for a romantic tryst.

Newly renovated rooms, soft sheets, fluffy pillows, Bring a scented candle and look out.

-The Room, The Room, The Room is on fire...........

And its closer to your dinner, Which is whats really important right ;)

Wait, was this a typo and your were asking about a 1 night stay?

I use to live in Columbus.... are you eating at the Mitchel's Dtown or Crosswoods.

If D town stay at the Columbus Renaissance, newly remodeled.

If Crosswoods, stay at the Marriot Columbus North..... a Ok FS hotel

North has been a HI for a while.

Got sold. It's a Crowne Plaza now.

CY in Crossroads is fine. I have stayed there many times; however, it is really just a business hotel (like pretty much all CY's). I recommend you avoid the RI and the TPS in Crossroads. Both of them are too close to the railroad tracks and you will most likely get woken up multiple times during the night as the trains go by. Nearest FS Marriott to Crossroads is now the Marriott Columbus Northwest. It is a fairly nice Marriott. Hope this helps...

P.S. The Crowne Plaza, former Marriott North, was fairly old and tired. I still liked staying there because the staff were uniformly nice and the Concierge Lounge offerings were pretty good. I was sorry to see it be reflagged as a CP.
