Consectutive night rule?
 

Does marriott put a rule in that states if you stay to many nights in a row you can not get points or night credit? Or im i think thinking Hilton or Hyatt?

My buddy is signing a 2 yr lease at a marriott in Jakarta, he said he will get points etc.

Marriott does not cap how many nights you can earn points for one stay. Starwood has a 30 day limit for one stay to earn points.

What Marriott will do is if you stay at one of their extended stay hotels, like an RI or TPS, you will get half the points you would if you stayed the same number of nights at another property (i.e. 5 points/$ instead of 10).

I believe Hilton limits you to 100,000 (base?) points/stay.

Which Marriott? The Hotel or the Executive Apartments. My guess is that it is the Executive Apartments. Either way the answer may be found at marriott.com at this link.

If it is the Executive Apartments then your buddy may be out of luck and may earn no points due to the length of stay, or possibly 2.5 points per dollar spent for the first 180 days. See details pasted from marriott.com below:

As stated above I would get the hotel's points policy in writing either before signing an agreement, or included in the agreement. I do the later when I do meetings/events, otherwise no points.
