Marriott Promotion Progress?
 

Hey Guys, I am a new Marriott member and I would like to really try to maximize my points. I have some great vacations in mind cause gee who wants to work all the time.

Has anyone used this promotion progress thingy? Does it help? What does the progress meter measure?

The only time this feature became active for me was during the last Megabonus promotion. I needed 20 nights to score my 35,000-point bonus, and the indicator told me how many I had and how many I needed.

As was pointed out, the progress meter tracks nights accumulated and needed for the Megabonus promotion.

You may also look at the DreamRewards tracker. This lets you select a reward that you'd like to redeem (say, 7 nights in Hawaii) and it will tell you how many more points you need to reach that reward. Pretty nifty :D

Based on my experience, the promotion tracker works for any promotion for which you are registered, not just Mega Bonus.

I usually track my stays/points on a spreadsheet, so the tracker has limited value other than confirming that Marriott and I are "on the same page".

Agreed...it does work on any promo Marriott is running...
