What does "management rate" mean?

I recently found an excellent Local Promotional Rate for a Marriott in Europe. The terms and conditions stated "management rate" and "must have signed form to book". I called reservations and to find out whether I was permitted to book this rate - they couldn't answer my question and referred me to the hotel directly. I went ahead and booked the reservation online, and received a confirmation which did not mention any rate rules or documentation required. Then emailed the hotel to ask if I was permitted to book the rate and what documentation was required. I know the email was "read" but I have received no response (and incidentally the rate has now disappeared from the website). Does anyone have any idea what a "management rate" is? Any ideas as to what I should do next?
Thanks for your input!

c'mon... do you really need people to tell you what you need to do?

got your signed form? do you manage a Marriott property?

just do what you know is right.

If you show up without the signed form, they have the right to charge you the rack rate--be prepared to pay it if you don't have an alternate reservation set up...

Pretty sure that you booked the Marriott Employee Rate, if so, you will not be given the rate at check in without the signed form....
