TPA Marriott
 

I'm flying to SEA on Tuesday for business. Back to TPA at 10a on Thursday. Have 3.5 hour layover and catching the first segment of my flights to LHR to see the FA Cup Final match on Saturday afternoon at the new Wembley.

AA does not have Admirals Club in TPA. The only other club that's available in term F is USAir/BA club. I wouldn't mind paying the $40 daily fee if they had showers but they don't.

So, the only logical option is the Marriott at the airport. I will not pay ~$150 day room rate for couple of hours of use but I'm hoping somebody knows if this Marriott has Gym/Workout area with showers. I would be willing to pay for access.

Never mind. I called the Marriott. Guests only access to the gym.

Where are you connecting through? The BA flight from Tampa is into Gatwick. If you are going through Miami (or other AA hub) or Charlotte on Useless? Maybe you will have time at the hub for a layover shower.

I made the executive decision. Showers at the MIA AC will have to do. I just thought that with having 3.5 hours layover in TPA it may have been the perfect place, but I'm finding out that it's not.....:(
