The publicly available codes on this thread are working as far as we know. Please note that not every code will work for every property worldwide.

The best thing to do, rather than just posting "I'm staying at (fill in the blank)/does anyone have a code", is to try all the codes first. As such, this thread is not for "cheaper rate" requests.
Note that It's highly unlikely that FTers will find a code that isn't already listed based on a one-off request.

If the code is available at the property, it will show that/rate. If it's isn't available, it will let you know that. Please note that if if one (or more) code is available, only you can determine if the cost savings fits with your budget. If it does, great. If not, you might want to try and see if the property has a local promotion going or if you can use LNF (Look No Further/Best Rate Guarantee) for a better rate. Also note that sometimes a publicly available code may show a higher rate than just a regular booking. Not always, but sometimes.

If you have discovered a new code, please post it in this thread and update this Wikipost. But please, this list is ONLY for publicly usable codes. No corporate or private use only codes please. Thanks!

FWIW I decided to go after this, yet somehow differently. As it's including breakfast I made a S4B-reservation (which showed initially when looking up rates for this hotel) and another reservation at the LPR-rate. Then I faxed the application for the LNF-guarantee, and it was accepted:

Dear djohannw,

Thank you for submitting a claim for Marriott's Look No Further(SM) Best Rate Guarantee. We received a claim from you for the following reservation:

Hotel: Courtyard Brussels
Arrival Date: some time in 2008
Number of Rooms: Three
Reservation Confirmation Number: XXXXXXXX

We have reviewed your claim and have made the following modification to your reservation:

Rate: 37.50 Euro, per night, per room, including breakfast
Reservation Confirmation Number: XXXXXXXX

The room rate listed above reflects your nightly room rate, including tax, and an additional 25% discount for submitting a successful claim according to the terms of Marriott's Look No Further(SM) Best Rate Guarantee.

The following reservation, which you confirmed to validate your claim, has been cancelled:

Reservation Confirmation Number: XXXXXXXX
Reservation Cancellation Number: XXXXXXXX

Any and all potential cancellation penalties associated with this second reservation have been waived.
So it seems the rate was indeed publicly availble as otherwise the LNF-guarantee would have been declined. This result however is even better...it saves me another 12.50 Euro over the already very low rate (S4B was 149 Euros, best prepaid rate without breakfast was 77 Euros).

Greetings - Dirk

Marriott Vacation Club timeshare owners can use MOD as a corporate code for a 25-50% discount at Marriott timeshares - based on availability.

Has anyone had success with the LLR rate? According to the list it may refer to firemen and cops getting a special rate.

I have used the government rate instead in the past with no problems but I am hesitant to apply for that rate anymore given the "crackdown".

Anyone know?

Well if you're a fireman or police officer, then use the rate. Otherwise I'd rethink it if I were you. But again when in doubt, call the hotel directly and ask.

Cheers.

I would be entitled to use it...the original list said "maybe" that was the intention of the code. I tried it on the web site for an anticipated stay in December but it appears not to be very useful...(as in no rooms under that designation-yet there are many rooms available under govt rate, etc.

I tried using the LPR Local promotion rate code at the Courtyard Berlin City center, and I got a very nice rate.
What does this code mean? Do I need some kind or proof/membership or something to use it? Or can anyone use it?

well shoot if you are a fireman or cop.. then you are likely to be a gov't employee at a local, state of federal level anyway

If you read back a page or two you'lll see that LPR (Local Promotional Rate) pulls up varying types of rate. Some will be publicly available, others will require ID or membership. Read the rates rules, apply some common sense and if you're still not sure, call the hotel to see if you are eligible.

However since I am [I]Canadian[I] and given the recent crackdown on government rates I'm not sure if I am still eligible for the govt rate...anyone know?

If you've got gov't id, then presumably you'd be fine. When in doubt, call the hotel directly.

Cheers.

If you work for the government North of the Border, I'd certainly go ahead and try to use the government rate in the U.S.....or anywhere else. All they can do is say no. In which case you might want to ask them to show you where they specify that "government rate" is only valid for U.S. residents (or residents of whatever other country you're in).

In my view, if they offer the program in Canada and other countries, it should all be reciprocal.

It should state what country's employees are valid in the Rate details. I just checked a couple and they all specified both US and Canadian Gov't employees as valid.

Red face Good Rates for Chicago Dec 8-9?

Other than spending the next 2 hours typing in every code into the system, does anyone have any suggestions for some Res Codes in Chicago for Dec 8-9, 2007?

I was fortunate enough (?) to secure tickets for the the Hannah Montana concert that weekend for my daughter. In case you haven't heard, tickets cost an arm and a leg (literally), so any extra cash we can save would be appreciated, so that I can spend the money instead on my daughter with the souvenirs that I'm sure she'll want.

Thanks!
