Using the non-elite reservation line
 
I called the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites to switch my park and fly reservation and got sent to the general reservation line. I wanted to apply an EEO to this rate, and the agent seems fairly clueless about it. It took me several attempts to explain what an EEO is. After about 21 minutes, I finally got a confirmed reservation.

Lesson learned: Next time, I will call the platinum reservation line.
