Executive vs. Concierge Level????

Anyone know the difference between and executive level room and conc. level room? I am looking at the Santa Clara Marriott and have no idea which is better....

I'm not positive, but the hotel fact sheet lists the hotel with 9 concierge level floors. I suspect there is a wing of the hotel dedicated to "business" travelers and that is where the "Executive floor" comes in. I suspect that within those 9 floors there is one floor that as the CL and a room on that floor would be referred to as a Concierge Level room.

Executive is also sometimes used to say bigger room, different amenites, BUT NO LOUNGE ACCESS.

Marriott Ottawa

I had this same question about an upcoming stay at the Ottawa Marriott.

According to the website the CL floors are in the middle of the building and the top 9-10 floors are Executive.

Anyone been here that can say which room type to request as a Plat?

I have stayed here several times. The property has a main tower building, with the C-lounge on the top floor - not-bad with a nice view of the area. Then the rather large pool area is formed into a courtyard by additional rooms in the form of a low-rise (2 or 3 story?) structure of connected rooms. I have never stayed anywhere but the main tower, but would bet it is considered the Executive level. From memory some of the low-rise rooms should have direct patio access to the pool area if that is of interest.

On a side note: Depending upon where you are headed, I actually like the San Jose Marriott much better and the properties are only about 5 miles apart.

I LOVE the SJO Marriott...never stayed at the SJC Marriott though (I'm sure there is a big difference)...the Concierge Lounge (and staff) of the hotel are just terrific
