Using Points
It seems I have been having some difficulty with using points lately. Initially we wanted to use points for Disney tickets, however, according to Marriott that program is discontinued as of Jan 31, 2007. Next, I ordered a Hertz rental coupon for 8 days. I tried to book a car for an Orlando vacation in April (not blackout date) and was told to try again at the end of Jan 2007 because the coupon code was not in the Hertz system yet. I just tried to book again, but was told again that the coupon code wasn't in the system yet - try again end of February. I am wondering what is happening. I really liked Marriott because they had some interesting things to exchange points for, but now I am wondering if the program is more of a bait and switch..... any one else in the same boat?
