Breakfast At Fairfields?
 

We havent stayed at a Fairfield in many years and am wondering what anyone has thought of their breakfast. I see they are doing that now and it says they have the jimmy dean breakfast sandwich and one said they had the same sandwiches and waffles also. Is it a buffett style or just a regular continental type?
Any info is appreciated.

I've stayed at a couple of fairfields in the past year - both had waffles, eggs, and lots of additional choices to a typical continental breakfast. It has definitely improved.

Breakfast sandwiches? I haven't seen it, but I haven't stayed at an FI since the beginning of the year. The buffet I used to get were hardboiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, juices, snack bars, danish and make-your-own waffles.

If you do it right, you can take your hardboiled eggs over to the nearest Wingate Inn and use their english muffins and bacon to make your own breakfast sandwich...not that I've done it ;)

I think Wingate has about the best of the bunch. At least the ones I've stayed in.

The Jimmy Dean "Sandwich" is a pre-packaged small sandwich in the refrigerator. It is not much more than the rest of the continental spread. About the best things I find at FI are the hard boiled eggs, the oatmeal, and the fresh fruit (banana & apple). The rest is not worth talking about. IMHO.

For "free" breakfasts, I find both Hampton and Wingate to have a much better selection of food.

I totally agree about the Hampton Inn having the best breakfast I've seen, for free that is.

I just ran up on a good price in Anaheim at the Townplace Suites but I'm locked into my price at the Fairfield and if I change or cancel it, even though
is 3 weeks out, we'll be charged for it.

We looked for weeks before booking the fairfield, only today to find the townplace suites at $59.00 and they at least include a kitchen. Thats about my luck.... :rolleyes:

Stayed often at the FF in downtown Chicago - breakfast there is fine, if a bit crowded in the seating area. Also have stayed once in a while at the FF in Appleton, Wisconsin, b/f there was ok too. About what you'd expect, I usually do the eggs and some oatmeal.

Stayed at couple of different FF's this past month and all had an expanded selection of breakfast items. Waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and egg sandwich among the selections.

I've stayed at about 6 Fairfield's this year - it's generally a continental breakfast that has the following:

Jimmy Dean Microwavable Sausage/Egg biscuit
Waffles (waffle maker)
Bagel/English Muffins
Boxed Cereals
Yogurt
Juice Machine (orange, apple, cranberry)
Assorted milks (Chocolate, Skim, 2%)
Whole Fruit (apples, bananas, oranges)

Some have had hard-boiled eggs, but not all, IIRC...

We had the same selection in RAP last week.

RAP, eh? I was just there about a month ago & stayed at the FFI you probably stayed at. Was it the one with the attached waterpark? Totally not what one expects out of an FFI, but an interesting concept nonetheless.

The Anaheim FI doesn't offer a free breakfast....but it does have lots of kids running around! :)

Having stayed at both the FI and TPS in Anaheim, I'd have to say TPS is the better of the two...but it sort of depends on the purpose of your trip. The FI is across Harbor Bvd from Disney. TPS on the other hand, is walking distance from Anaheim Stadium. FI is closer to the Convention Center (about a mile).

Yes, I know the FI across from Disney doesnt have breakfast. That isnt the one I'm staying at. We stayed there years ago and I wont ever go back, didnt care for the rundown room we had at all.

I'm staying further out this time at a FI, and just happened to come across the cheaper rate at TPS after I booked my room at FI.
