Hotel at JFK - FI or Courtyard?
 

I need to catch an early flight out of JFK and will not be in the hotel room that long, mainly just enough to pop in, watch a little TV and fall asleep. I know generally a CY would be a much better choice than a FI. Considering I won't be spending much time there, is the FI at JFK acceptable? Is their free shuttle to the airport dependable?

I have been burned a few times with some poor quality FI's, so I want to make sure it isn't that bad before I book.

nothing to write home about
but the rates go as low as $139 a nite

there is an airport shuttle
but its not on demand
it runs like once an hour

I haven't stayed at the JFK FI, but I have stayed at the Courtyard and found it to be just fine, though nothing really special. It does seem to be a little overpriced, but I guess location is everything.

The location of the Courtyard is close to the airport, but not THAT close. With bad morning traffic, it might take you 30 minutes to get to the airport.

I would be curious to see how the FI works out.
