Shop using MR points
 

Does anyone know how the amount of points needed to buy merchandise is calculated? Some items such as golf clubs cost $800 and they only want 135K points but a camera that also costs $800 is being sold for 200K points. There doesn't seem to be a decent price/point ratio.

Also...just a pet peeve - twice over the last year I have gotten to within a few thousand points of being able to purchase a 26" HDTV and the item mysteriosly disappears from the web site. First was a 26" sony for 165K points and just last week a LG 26" HDTV for 240K points disappeared from the web site. I guess the replacement will be near 300K points....until I get to within a few thousand points.

I've never been able to figure it out.

I would never shop with SkyMall or the Rewards Mall.
