Marriott Virtual Tour Sweepstakes: error
Received an invitation today via email. Answer three true/false questions for a chance at a prize. First answer was correct (Yea!). Next two: undefined. I think it's buggy code. Anyone else have this problem?
PS I turned off my pop-up blocker as requested. -- 13F |
I got a message that the contest page is currently under "routine maintenance".
Seems to me that it is generally a good idea to have a promotion ready to go before promoting it... |
I have been on that site 2 days now without any issues, got all my answers correct everytime :p , but have not won anything. Has anyone won anything thing from that site?

promo run by eprize.com
info as to website www.marriottvirutaltour.com from whois.net: Organization:
ePrize, LLC Email: [email protected] This is a company that apparently runs promotions for other companies. Quote from the eprize.com website: "82% of consumers will provide private information in exchange for the chance to win." |

Now it is timing out.
Perhaps we need to start asking Marriott to pick better marketing/promotional/sweepstakes vendors... |
I just completed the tour successfully. Did not win anything instantly. Accessed it though from the Marriott homepage
|
Have played each day and not won anything yet. If it works like the MyPoints instant win games, certain times of the day are ramdomly chosen as winning times, if you are the first person to complete the game after that random time, you win. The page indicates that answering the questions correctly or incorreclty does not effect your chances of winning.

Quote from the eprize.com website: "82% of consumers will provide private information in exchange for the chance to win." As so many people play, and you may play once per day on these sites, your chances of winning are frankly slim. I actually did win one of 1000 cat photo albums (actually pretty big and pretty cool) last month from the current FreshStep.com "lost litter box" promo, so yes, real people do win things... I did note that my "win" was exactly 3pm on the dot. Anyone else note it as a "timed" thing??? I can't say for sure. Many threads on FT have griped about how many times a person has played and how few times they have won anything... that is "the odds". Mainly, play these to be entertained and have fun, and support a favorite vendor. |
