I marked in the comments box that a Premium Pounds coupon is to be used. Can anyone see any major flaws in this plan or have any experience of this property in relation to Bonus Bucks / Premium Pounds usage? Thanks to anyone who can help.

The terms and conditions on the various versions of the Bonus Bucks/Premium Pounds/Extra Euros certificates vary somewhat, but commonly they require "a consecutive two (2) night paid stay" (some certificates even have this in bold on the front of the cert as well). Some folks have reported that some properties will nonetheless accept BB/PP/EE for incidental expenses on an award stay, but there is one horror story in a recent thread (maybe even this one) about a person who handed over PPs for incidentals on an award stay and was told by the front desk at the hotel that they were acceptable, but when he got his credit card bill discovered that he had been charged for all charges, and the PP had not been deducted. When he inquired, he was told that the auditors had rejected application of the PP. I don't remember if he got his PP certificate back or not (even if so, it might have expired by then). |
50 Premium pounds at spinghill?
Can my 50 Premium Pounds coupon used at springhill suites, Courtyard or RI?
The reason I ask is because my coupon doesn't mention these chains on the front.  I certainly know the $50 BB can be used at those places. Did they change the term recently or there are two types of 50 premium ponds? Thanks! |
PP use at Marriott Savannah
I just used a PP coupon at the Marriott in Savannah. I made the reservation online and then called the elite line to verify that the coupon would be accepted. At checkin, the clerk told me that they did not accept Premium Pounds. I pointed out the T&C on the back where it explained how to handle it in the US. He did not argue with me after that. They applied the coupon at checkout for a discount of $191 :D
BTW, I enjoyed my stay at this property. Although it is not the fanciest Marriott I've stayed at, the location is great. We had walking distance access to the seafood festival and a great view of the boat races on the river. If you enjoy "ship spotting", this is a good property for that as it is the closest property with rooms/balconys overlooking the river. You get a good idea of how dang big those container ships are when you're on the 6th floor and the boat going by a few hundred feet away is towering over you  |

I only wish to share info to other's here on FT who are looking for a safe place to purchase Marriott Bonus Bucks. |
This thread is a virtual twin of another one that I closed a month or two ago after much discussion, both publicly and privately. I'm going to close this one, too. If I were sure that it violates the TOS, I would simply delete it unceremoniously. But I'm just not sure.

Bonus bucks -- are they still being given out?
Are Bonus bucks still being given out?
I stayed at a property in Austin and they had never heard of them ... |
It's on a hotel-by-hotel basis.
I got $100 on Saturday at the Fairview Marriott outside of Washington. The Marriott Fair Oaks, just down the road a bit, had a slightly better ($9/night) rate, but did not give bonus bucks. So Fairview got my business. Need to check rate code M11 when booking and see if it indicates Bonus Bucks or not. (There is a list of properties somewhere, but I don't recall where). |
try the OTP rate code as well
