I assume the rate at the hotel is now higher? If not, just call the number and rebook the reservation. If the rate is higher, the hotel isn't required to accept it, although there are many cases when they will take the certificate. You are correct that if stay for 4 nights you can use 2 certificates.

Yes, you are correct--the rate is now higher. I guess I will try my luck and just present the certificate when I check in and see what happens. Thank you!

I would call the reservation line and tell them you forgot to mention you would be using a BB. All they do is add a note in the text line of the reservation that you will be using one so it will not affect your rate and then that way it is noted before you arrive to avoid any issues.

I agree. This works just fine (speaking from personal experience).

Thank you for this definitive clarification. My question was same as OP's. I hope all Marriott property operators get this message and act accordingly. I doubted.

How many bonus bucks on 2 room rate?

I have an upcoming stay booked using one of the family rates (LLR, LRR?) where you get 2 connecting rooms for a certain number of nights. Since it is one rate for the 2 rooms, what are my chances of using a Bonus Buck for each room? Anyone try this? It is definitely a publicly available rate (advertised on the website for the property). I will be there 4 nights, so am hoping to use 2 BB for each room, for a total of 4.

Marriott.com sometimes has "corprate Rate", I talked to the agents, that is generic publicly listed rate which qualifs for everyone, in other word, without 3 letter Corp code, then that Corpate rate is public rate

In US, Most hotels accept BB/PPs for almost any rate, it seems the hotels won't care about any rate but just quickly accept the coupons

Hey I got lucky. I gave the front desk 3 premium pounds for 4 nights stay and he took it.

Hello Cindi,

I've used 2-3 $50 or $100 BBs on one room for a 2-night stay. I haven't had a problem before. Since you'll be there for 4 days, you shouldn't have a problem using 2 BBs per room.

I've used 1 BB on a 1 night stay. I 've used $200 worth of BBs on a 3-night weekend stay. Most of the time, the front desk employee will apply the BBs to your account without question.

Bonus checks diff between $100 and $50

Can a $100 bonus check I get from a Marriott hotel be used at a Courtyard or a Fairfield Inn on a later date?

Can a $50 bonus check I get from Courtyard be used at a marriott?

Are there any restrictions against the checks from the different hotels or are all of the Bonus Checks good for all the hotels? Marriott,Fairfield Inn, courtyard?

I'm asking becaue I'm going on a trip and would prefer to stay at the Marriott but we normally stay at Courtyards/Fairfield and don't want to end up with a Bonus Check I can't use there.

Hello Travel'n gal,

You can redeem a Bonus Buck (BB) certificate at any type of Marriott that is listed on the front on it. Some BBs may say only Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites and Townplace Suites; other BBs may say just Marriott Hotels Resorts and Suites, JW Marriott Hotels, and Renaissance Hotels; some BBs may have all the Marriott Brands on it.

Whatever type of Marriott it shows on the front of the BBs certificate, that's where you can use it.

For more information, click on this thread: Questions about Bonus Bucks usage. More of your questions about BBs can be answered here.

Premium Pounds question

I have searched and found lots of info on REDEEMING these and various experiences, but I cannot find anything on ways to 'get' these. The obvious is fle-bay but wanted to make sure I was not overlooking the obvious somewhere on here. Looking for more than one so fle-bay was kind of a last resort.

Thanks

You might start the acquisition process by staying at a Marriott property in the U.K. at an appropriate rate.

I've found most promotional items, Premium or otherwise, denominated in GBP typically are offered in Great Britain. YMMV.

Sorry...I think I asked this question in the wrong way.
