My newest bonus bucks - hand't seen this yet?
So, got 2 BB coupons for this weekend's stay at Marriott Suites near IAD.
These are good at both FS Marriotts, Ren's, CY's, SHS's, etc. I've seen ones good at FS, Ren's, etc. as well as different ones good at CY's, SHS's, FI's....but never ones that were good at all properties. Is this new or did I just get lucky, or what? |
Are they $50 Bonus Bucks? $50 ones have always been good at all hotel properties.

I'd never gotten ones from a FS property that were good at a CY, etc. either. Hmm. Learn somethin new every day. |
Perhaps there are multiple versions of $50 BBs. The $50 BBs in my possession are good at all properties, including FS. I do recall, however, reading of limitations on other $50 BBs.
A quick Google search found this description: The $25.00 & $50.00 Marriott Bonus Bucks Coupon is redeemable at any Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, or TownePlace Suites locations. The $100.00 Marriott Bonus Bucks Coupon is redeemable at any Marriott Hotels and Resorts or Renaissance Hotels and Resorts worldwide. |
I stand corrected. The $50 ones given out this year at FS properties have always been good for FS properties, as well as the limited ones.

I collected two Weekend Premium Pounds vouchers from Marriott tUdor Park in Maidstone, UK. I wasn't too bothered about them being only weekend stays (the receptionist was as she said they would prefer them to be any day as they are packed at the weekends), what really annoyed me is that you can't redeem them until the 8th of September (which is actually a Monday, when you can't redeem!) and they expire on the 31st of December 2008 (which is a Wednesday!).
It seem amazing that Marriott have made this years promotion so restrictive, particularly as many people will tighten their belts this year due to the global financial problems, so they can probably expect a lot of empty hotels over summer. Still, they can always fill them full of coach parties who don't even return a profit for them. I just see this as Marriott sticking up two fingers to people like myself who have used the coupons through summer to maximum effect. At the rates they charge though, you need the vouchers to make the stays reaonably affordable. There are plenty of hotels in the UK, where even with a coupon you can pay £120 a night for a two night stay. I am so mad I am going to send a letter to Bill Marriott, just to remind him that Marriott's image will be pretty tarnished after a summer of coach parties. |
it seems, there is a different promo running in Germany and France , code is YTB.
(Information on German Homepage) The BB could be used until Sept. 08 2009. |
Bonus Bucks: How Long to Receive?
I've searched and haven't found anything regarding how long it takes to receive these. I've read that Marriott supposedly sends them via snail mail.
My situation: I am currently working in NYC and will be utilizing the E0S promotion in NYC after July 15th at multiple properties. I would like to book a vacation weekend somwhere July 25th-27th. As I do not currently have a home address, I will just change my address to my office address. How long does it typically take to receive the Bonus Bucks certificates? And is there a way to get them via email? TIA. |
Uh..you get them when you check out. (If you mean the $50 off ones...) Not sure exactly what you mean.........If you have booked a rate at a hotel under the bonus bucks package, you will get it when you check out....just make sure to go ask for it!
|
Yes, the $50 ones. One of the threads said they were sent in the mail after the stay was confirmed. I guess that only happens if you express check-out and then want them later. Thanks.
