Stuttgart Marriott Review
This review is for the Stuttgart Marriott in Germany.
All in all this was a nice property with very nice bi-lingual employees working the front desk and restaurants. The executive lounge was adequate with a typical European breakfast and evening appetizer social. I’m sitting here trying to think of really good or bad situations to mention, and all I can remember is it was an average stay for me. Platinum arrival gift was choice of 500 points or fruit and water basket Pool, sauna, and steam rooms were nice Executive lounge was average with excellent host Beds were ok, not the thick Marriott beds I’m use to They have two executive floors, not sure what they were like ( I did not request upgrade and one was not given when I handed my platinum card. If you stay on the weekend, you get free breakfast buffet (since lounge is closed on weekend) I hope this information helps anyone who may be traveling to Stuttgart. If I had to do it all again I would of stayed at the SI Center closer to town center. Take Care Everyone |
Thanks, I'm heading there in the next month or so.

I stayed there for about five months (not straight, on and off averaging about 20 days per month) in late 2001 and early 2002, and I was very favorably impressed.
It is a former Ramada, so don't expect the elegance you find in (say) Bucharest, but it is quite comfortable, the staff is outstanding, and the executive lounge, although a bit small, is friendly and well-stocked. I highly recommend it to folks visiting Stuttgart, although the SI Centrum is nice as well. |
I've stayed their every week for the last couple of months and would add a few comments.
Upgrades are hard to come by. As a Plat, I think I've had one, and that was after I made a fuss because my colleague (who had no status at all) was upgraded to the exec floor while I was offered zilch. The rooms are larger than most Marriott rooms in Europe, but a little dark & there are limited power sockets. (I've had to crawl under the desk and unplug various lamps) Only access to the exec floor is via the lift which can take forever. The stairwell doors to the 7th floor are locked from the inside so you can't sneak up that way. I raised this with the staff as a potential issue in case of a fire (If you were on the stairwell with fire below you), but got no response. Evening snacks in the lounge are good, as is the restaurant. All in all not a bad hotel. |
If I remember correctly isn't this hotel actually miles from Stuttgard? Though not that far from Stuttgard airport.
|
It is a €30 taxi ride from the aiport and about the same distance from downtown. There is a decent Chinese restautant within 50 metres, a shopping centre about 1 mile away, but little else around.
|
As its formal name suggests, it's actually located in Sindelfingen, a suburb of Stuttgart proper (albeit in a different county).

RTG and ubid,
So how was your stay here? Any new info? Looking at this location for a trip in May for a few nights. Thanks! Mark in NC most weekends. |
Any recent stays / updates on the Stuttgart Marriott?
I will be making a trip in early September and would appreciate any current info or updates on the Stuttgart Marriott. Thanks.

So, another plug for any recent experiences???
I've got a Marriott premium pounds coupon to burn, and may have the opportunity to do so there. Thanks in advance! |
