Is elite status indicator correct?
Hi All...
I mentioned in another post that i just started with Marriott and i was just about to call them today and ask for a gold challenge (based on everyone's advice)... but when i logged in today, i saw this on my account information page: Elite Membership Level Silver You have stayed 9 nights this year. You need 0 more nights to maintain Silver level. Stay 1 more night for Gold status. Now... the stay of 9 nights is slightly outdated b/c my stay from last week (2 nights) has not posted... but the points have.... and therefore i have achieved silver..... BUT, what about this "Stay 1 more night for Gold Status"..... could it possibly be true? or is that part just outdated too? If it is, i happen to be checking into a Renaissance tonight, then GREAT! But in my travelling heart of hearts, i just can't believe this to be true... Any help or thoughts? -- Boston AA Flyer |
Bad News...It just hasn't updated :(
My experience from both a gold and platnum challenge was that took a much longer time than anything else to finally update. It will definitely be correct within about a week. Welcome to Gold... |
I was carefully following my status this year, from silver to gold to platinum. The status level gets updated before the number of nights does. You'll see in a day or two that your status stays silver, but the number of nights goes to 11. And then it's only 39 more nights until gold!
I had actually called up in April asking about a challenge. I already had over 30 nights, and I thought they might do something for me, as I was obviously going to make gold and platinum. After being on hold for a while, they said no. I obviously should have called back. |
SO SAD! But do you have any specifics on this challenge you mention?
