Concord, NH
Any guidance as to which hotel I should choose-- the Fairfield or Courtyard in Concord? I can't find any relevant past threads in search and Trip Advisor has no info on the Courtyard. I'll be there three nights-- any other general suggestions for Concord? Thank you.

Personally, I think the Fairfield is the best value. It is probably the nicest Fairfield where I've stayed.
If you have any status with Marriott, request an upgrade to a Jacuzzi room. They are huge. Very nice staff there also. |
I also like the Concord Fairfield Inn even though the gym is very small and there are no weights.

I was quite pleased with the Fairfield Inn. It was very nice for a Fairfield Inn with a friendly staff. Common Man restaurant nearby was good. The Shaker Table restaurant was excellent-- about a twenty minute drive from the hotel.

I'm at the Fairfield Inn in Concord, NH right now - as far as I can tell, it's a standard FFI. This hotel doesn't have the newer bedding package - or even the new signage - the CY does have the new signage - not sure about the bedding though. The front desk staff was very nice - no problems with check-in or anything. They said they didn't have wireless internet in the rooms and that there's an ethernet cord in the room - however, I'm able to get a wireless signal in my room from the wireless network in the lobby (this is good because I can use my laptop on the bed versus the desk only). It's got 3 out of 5 bars & is fast enough - of course, there is an ethernet cord in the room. It's a little hard to find - you have to turn right on Gulf street off I-93 - there's a sign that points to Gulf Street that says "LODGING ->" however, there isn't a visible FFI sign from the road. I plan on having breakfast here in the morning, so will report back as to whether it's a good breakfast or not. The Housekeepers left a tip envelope. I generally do tip the housekeeper when I stay in a hotel, even limited service 1-night stays, but I do find it a bit annoying when they leave a tip envelope - although I do appreciate the fact that if I were to leave a few bucks lying around, the Housekeeping probably wouldn't assume its for them since its not in the tip envelope.

Well, I will say that this FFI has one of the better breakfasts than any other one I've stayed at. It had omletes, sausages, real bagels (not the crappy frozen Sara Lee ones) - good cereal options and decent food for a free breakfast. I am impressed.
Checking out today & heading up to the CY in BTV/Williston tonight. |
