Stay at new hotel or avoid?

We're contemplating a stay at the new Courtyard Lancaster within a week or two of it opening. Should we avoid staying at a hotel just after it opens (let them work the kinks out) or be all over it? Thanks!

I just stayed at the NEW CY Harrisburg/Hershey PA (open about 2 months). Had a great stay at a nice new property. I have stayed at a number of properties within a few weeks of opening and never had a problem. If you are still a little nervous, I recommend the above property--it is about 25-30 miles from Lancaster

If it's new construction, no. If it's a converson, yes.

I've stayed in some very new construction properties a couple of times and had no problems. I might avoid opening night, but other than that I quite enjoy being in the new buildings.

Even if there is a kink or two in some amenities, the NEW MATTRESS usually makes up for it. ^

Different Perspective

It depends on luck. In my experience you have a higher chance of a false fire alarm in new construction. And I remember experiencing the world's tallest hot water water fall - when the Marquis Times Square was less than a month old and there was a hot water pipe burst at the very top of that atrium.
