Wild @ Work Package?
 

Does anyone know what the 'Wild @ Work Package" is? I noticed that under rate rules it says "ID required," which indicated to me it might not be available to everyone.

Anybody know anything? Thanks.

Well, if you don't know what it is and you don't have an ID that is required for the package, then what makes you think you ever would be eligible for it? :rolleyes:

Of course, you could spend a couple of nickels and call the hotel to find out that you are not eligible for the rate, but I gather you prefer not to do that. :rolleyes:

I did call, actually, when I decided which hotel I was interested in that had it (it shows up all over the place, the first question the agent wanted to know was which property it is for).

Anyway, as it turns out, it looks like EVERYBODY is eligible for it. Its listed as "LOCAL PROMO RATE." I specifically asked the Silver agent if I could book it and if it was available to everyone, and he said yes. I also asked if I could use my Bonus Books, and again, the answer was yes. So there you go. I went ahead and booked it.

Anyone ever used it before though? Its a great deal...includes breakfast and free parking.

Well, I hope you are wrong...I still am afraid that when I get there I'll be told something different. But I don't know what else I can do other than call and ask...

Your initial points were quite valid...

See if you can get a name from someone and advise that you are quite worried that you will be denied the rate and that they may not be there.

Then, ask if you can get their e-mail address or vice-versa and have them confirm for you in writing what you have been told. Then, if there is a problem, you have proof of what you were saying.

Register and see if your employer participates.

I checked out that Wild at Work, didn't seem like it was the same thing. Anyone can really register, just try a few names like IBM and it will bring up various group/clubs that have registered.

They "offer" savings on travel but nothing really looked good.

Well I work for the Federal Government...which is not a part of this. I wonder if that means I can't use the rate, or if they even care...

I just booked a stay at a Marriott.Entered PKG in the promo code box and "wild at work"came up.No mention of ID required or any other restrictions.
Made the ressie-it was MUCH cheaper then the other rates and includes b'fast for 2 and free parking.
Called the phone # on the back of a premium pound and asked if I could apply it-no problem so I had them add it to the reservation.Very nice!

Is this only for Marriott, Ren and JW? My clients usually dont have tons of money. I stay at Courtyards, RI. etc

I do believe that as a fed employee that you can get the government rate for personal travel at marriotts.

I am a fed employee and use my Fed rate business or vacations. Never any problem
